How to find your place in the Body of Christ
"... we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Ephesians 4:15-16
God tells us that we need to grow up. His Word tells us how. Now is the time to reflect on our church and where we are at this time in our history. What are the strengths that need to be preserved? Where do we fall hort of God's plan in Scripture for what our church is to be? How do we need to grow? What gifts do we look for in the man we will call to lead and shepherd us? Scripture gives us clear teaching about how His body is to grow. The chief command is for every part to do its work (Ephesians 4:16) Our part involves the use of the gifts the Spirit has given us. This series of classes will begin by looking at what Scripture teaches about the gifts of the Spirit and what a church is supposed to be. We will attempt to define the various gifts of the Spirit and help each class member see his or her particular gift mix. You are part of the Maple Grove Body of Christ. Come and discover whether you are an eyeball, foot, ear or hand.
